I am about to embark on a new career path and I need a little help raising the funds to help make this happen.

About my plans…
For the last 5 years, I’ve been helping people with hearing loss, tinnitus, and balance disorders. Now I want to turn this passion into a career.
A lifechanging experience
After losing the hearing in my left ear 5 years ago, my life was turned upside down. I had no idea how I was going to live my life without full sound.
Hearing others
I started writing my blog. Writing helped me deal with some difficult emotions.
Through writing my hearing loss blog, people from all over the world started to contact me, people like me, struggling with isolation, depression, loneliness, and other hearing issues.
A new focus
In November 2019, I set up my online hearing loss support group to enable people with similar experiences to connect. This wonderful community now has over 650 members and continues to grow.
More recently, I became the founder of the Sudden Hearing Loss Support website. This website is a source of support and information for anyone affected by sudden hearing loss.
It was clear I had a new focus. I was passionate about supporting people going through similar experiences to me, helping them to move forward with their lives.
An ended career
Last year I ended my teaching career of almost 15 years. It turned out that a noisy, busy classroom was a huge trigger for my hearing and balance issues.
I had always been a teacher. What else could I do?
After discussing my options with a friend, I realised the answer was staring me in the face this whole time: Learn how to help others through life coaching.
Continuing to help others
Coaches assist with lifestyle changes and provide encouragement along the way. I was already doing this. Why not make this into a career?!
Starting a business to help people with hearing issues allows me to continue the work I’ve been doing, and provide a professional service to those who require more personalised and ongoing support.

I’ve found the perfect course to become a certified coach, but I need some help raising the funds to pay for it.

The crowdfunding will initially be for one month, until November 7th, at which point I will decide whether or not to continue raising funds.
